Surrey’s Stewart Farm at Elgin Heritage Park

Stewart Farm at Elgin Park in Surrey

Historic Stewart Farm is an early 1900s farmstead lived in and worked on by newcomers during Surrey’s formative years. It’s now a destination heritage site, offering a family-friendly connection to the past through hands-on activities.

The farm and surrounding area inspire an appreciation for land, history, diversity and reconciliation. In addition to the Stewart family and their farmhands, there are plenty of other voices to be heard in the area: the Semiahmoo People and the ancestral Snokomish, as well as the birds and other animals that call the forest home.

Visit the City of Surrey website for full details about the historic site.

Where is Stewart Farm?

The heritage site is located at 13723 Crescent Road in Surrey. It’s about an hour’s drive from downtown Vancouver, give or take depending on the traffic. Nestled on the Nicomekl River within the trees, the area is very scenic and a great location for a walk, picnic or paddle.

The farmhouse is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 4:30 pm and the park itself is open from dawn to dusk. Entrance is free! Visit for a guided or self-led tour, register for a program, or drop by one for one of multiple fun seasonal events.
